| Mikkel was born in the spring of 1978, he was already in his first years a peculiar and energetic kid, questioning his surroundings and breaking everybody's balls. The interest for music came early as his grandfather was a famous Norwegian troubadour and his father a Rhythm & Blues star in the 70's.
Mikkel did also quite some travelling in his first fumbling years, his parents dragged him all around Europe in a worn out trailer. The next surprise his parents had for him was even more original. In 1987 they decided they wanted to do some work in Africa so they packed up and moved to live in Kenya for two and a half
years. Mikkel and his kid-brother Martin had big expectations to live with their family in the middle of exiting Africa. But poor kids, before they knew what hit'em they got thrown into British boarding school.

But everything happens for a reason they
say, and as it turned out this period of his life gave him a priceless understanding of a new culture and
people. Something that hopefully thought him something about warmth towards others regardless of skin complexion or
culture. And we assume he also benefited from being forced to speak English each day (to be sure let's listen to his
records). One thing that is certainly sure is that Mikkel got totally dazzled by the vivid African
wildlife, as his first true love became the cheetah, the fastest animal on
earth
